A tool for Community Food Advisor volunteers to use when teaching basic cooking skills, kitchen safety and food safety to school–age children. It can be used with small groups of children aged 5 to 12, and modified for use with teens or adults as a basic learn-to-cook lesson.
It contains 5 sessions, each with activities, recipes, or demos, and suggestions for how to modify. Each can be used as a stand-alone class or a series of lessons. The First Nations edition is adapted for use with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, and includes 6 sessions and is available in English, Inuktitut, Ojibwe, Plains Cree, and Woods Cree.
