Food Handling: Infection Control

The purpose of this policy is to protect clients, employees, students, volunteers and visitors from foodborne illness and promote the safe handling of food.

The policy aims to ensure that all food stored, prepared, handled and served within the organization will meet federal and provincial guidelines to promote food safety practices and protect clients, employees, students, volunteers and visitors from food-borne illness. This policy applies to all programs, meetings and events held on premises or hosted by this Centre, that include food.
